Today’s succeed in fashion is dedicated to the blogger that runs Couturezilla, Andreea Birsan (@andreeabirsan_). I discovered her page a while ago and I fell in love with it from the very first sight. Her sense of style is amazing and her photography always beautiful. Now I just don’t follow her on Instagram, but I really enjoy reading her blog posts.
Studies: Degree in Public Relations and Communication.
First jobs: I’ve been a social media intern for a short time in London then had to my first job at the trade market (I hated it), didn’t stay there for too long, it wasn’t my thing, so I just quit it and pursued my dream to start a fashion blog.
What inspired you to start your blog/Instagram account? I always had this thing for fashion and wanted my personal space where I could share my sense of fashion and travels. Had the idea in my mind for a very long while, but I could never find the right time to start the website. At first, I felt a little insecure, but then I overcame my fears and went for it. As for Instagram … I started my account a few years before opening the blog. In the beginning, I was sharing regular snaps, travel photos, food shots, flowers etc and slowly transitioned to outfit photos and fashion related visuals.
Was it a job or a hobby? It was a dream come true.
Name some of your style icons and explain why they are your favorites? Victoria Beckham – love her fashion sense! That woman is so iconic.
How would you describe your personal style? Edgy with many pops of red.
Is blogging/social media your profession or just a hobby? Profession.
How do you organize your time? Time organizing can be really challenging. I wake up early in the morning, make myself some breakfast and a big cup of coffee and then one hour later I’d start working on my laptop. Honestly, I’m working almost all the time, I’m still trying to find the perfect balance between work and real life, but I can’t seem to find it haha.
How much time do you spend on your blog/social media? A lot. Probably over 10 hours a day.
Who takes your photos? Which gear do you use? Most of the photos are taken by my dad, followed by friends and my boyfriend. Using a Nikon D5300 with a 35 mm f 1.8 lens.
What do you find the most frustrating aspect of blogging? Standing out in the crowd and trying not to get influenced by all the current trends.
What would you say that is the greatest satisfaction of being a fashion blogger/influencer? Being able to help people, inspire them and raise awareness.
Tell me about your proudest achievement? Managed to work with some of the brands I was just dreaming of collaborating with: Dior, Pandora, Charles & Keith, Reserved etc.
How do you manage time to run your blog/social media efficiently? Waking up early in the morning helps a lot. Planning, setting up daily goals and writing down to do lists are great for keeping track of work and being more efficient.
How do you want to improve yourself in the next year? I’d like to push my boundaries a little more, improve my dutch and work on being calmer.
Where would you like to be in blogging/social media five years from now? On top, don’t we all want that? haha
Would you encourage other people to make their blog/Instagram account? Any advice? They should be consistent and work hard.

Most loved beauty product? Erborian BB cream.
Favorite book? Looking for Alaska.

Maybe you already knew her, but if you didn’t you should check out her blog and Instagram page because, as I said, her style and photography are just amazing and full of inspiration. I’m sure Andreea is going to get very far because she works so hard on what she loves, and that’s the key to success.
Have you ever heard of her? What do you think about her style and photography? Definitely tell me so in the comments down below and I’ll be glad to read!
