I don’t remember exactly when I created the logo for my site. Probably about three years ago. I wanted something that represented my blog in a really simple way, and make it the main image of my brand.
I knew I wanted to write just the first letters of the name of the blog to make it shorter, I knew the typography I wanted because I loved how it looked, and I knew that I wanted to add something simple on the background, so the capital letters would stand out.
That’s how I created the TGL logo that has been on my site for about three years. Two splashes of pink and purple paint on the background, and black serif typography.
Because the blog is always improving and changing I thought that the logo should be slightly changed.
I say slightly because I love the idea of the logo I already had, and because of my advertising career I know how dangerous the change of a logo can be for your brand image.
But, I had to change it. I kept a really similar serif typography to represent that elegance I want to share on my content, and I changed the colorful background to something with more sense. Gold paint.
Now I feel like this is the perfect logo. Simple but transmits all the values of my blog and personal brand. It might look like something small and without importance, but it really has. It is something that I add everywhere to represent my brand and make its image stronger.
I’m more than happy with this small but at the same time big change. Now I feel like this is the right logo, which I love everything about. And, it also means an improvement of the blog, because it’s always changing and moving forward at the same time as I do as a person.
What do you think about this new logo? Definitely tell me so in the comments down below and I’ll be glad to read!
Love and lipstick ❤
