TIMES CHANGE AND SO DO WE

First of all, I really feel like I should apologise for not being as active as I used to. I know that many of you can empathise with me in this aspect, but the start of uni and work at the same time has been overwhelming and I struggle a lot to find a bit of free time on my day to day life.

I actually feel kinda sad that I’ve been working hard for years for this blog, which is my passion, and now I don’t have that much time (or time at all) to spend on it. I’m a really organised and strict person when it comes to scheduling and how I spend my time, so I can assure you’re there’s no material time I can use to even write a blog post.

Things and times change and we have to get used to them. A few days ago I wrote an Instagram caption about what I’m trying to explain here: balance. To find, not the perfect, but just balance, it’s key to live a healthy and happy life. This is actually quite a hard task since everything is continuously changing and we have to get used to then quite fast as well, but it’s not impossible.

I spend mornings at work and afternoons at uni. I only have evenings left to pamper myself and relax a bit until  I get ready to start the next day. This is all I can do from Monday to Friday, and then I have the weekend left to do nothing but enjoy some free time with my loved ones.

All of this kept me thinking about how I’m going to manage from now on to find time for the blog and everything that it involves. Time for emails, planning, photoshoots, editing, writing, checking and engaging a bit with you. It really takes so much time and effort that not many see until they have to directly deal with it.

This blog is my passion, so there’s no way on earth I’ll give up on it, but what’s obvious is that I won0t be able to upload it as often as I used to before. I also want to make sure that what I’m sharing is real quality content, which takes more time but is much more valuable. Because of that, I’ll stick to two posts a week (Mondays and Thursdays). The first one will be a fashion related one (outfit with all its details), and the second one will be more writing-focused one with a non-specific topic (could be my opinion about a certain topic, a product review, recommendations, advice, etc.).

I really hope I can work this out because so little things could hurt me more than having to give up on this blog. So I’ll work hard for it, and I hope you can support me as you’ve been doing for more than four and a half years.

Which kind of content do you want to see next? Definitely tell me so in the comments down below and I’ll be glad to read!

  1. It’s so lovely to read about how much you love your blog! I find it difficult to balance everything too, so I post on Wednesdays and Sundays which is so much easier than churning out content I’m not passionate about. You have a good plan so I definitely think you’ll find your rhythm, especially as you’ve been blogging for so long! Love your outfit in this post 🙂

    • Exactly! It’s better to post less but better content you’re proud of! Thank you so much Anika, I’m sure you’ll manage how to deal with everything as well!
