Looks like we’re slowly getting into the autumn vibe thanks to the colder weather. Maybe that’s just because I wake up earlier than usual and early mornings tend to be chilly, but I’ll keep telling myself that is the autumn season and it’s time to get into my favourite time of the year.
I’ve said many times before how much I love this season. I always say that the main reason might be the clothes since I adore wearing long-sleeved tops, boots, jackets, hats, and layers. Also, because of all the beautiful neutral colours all around the city, which makes it so aesthetically pleasing to shoot for the blog and Instagram pictures. But, this is not the only reason why I really like autumn.
It’s finally time to start lighting candles that smell like vanilla, wood and leather among others, that scent your whole house and makes it even more warm and cosy. Also, it’s so nice to go for a coffee date to talk for hours until it gets dark, or for a walk outside and then go back home for a chilled afternoon with a hot drink, a blanket and a film. These are by far the best afternoons.
And then, last but not least, it’s time to change the music I listen to. Music is a big part of my life, so the soundtrack I listen to during a certain season has to match the mood I’m in. For example, a ritual of mine is to start listening to Lana del Reay on repeat when the weather gets colder, the days get darker earlier, and all you want to do is to be cosy and warm. I would call this my little pleasures in life.
