Oh wow, how do I start?
Three years ago I posted the very first article on The Gold Lipstick. It was about the oxford shoes from Stella McCartney, I still remember being in my bed with the fairy lights, excited, writing that blog post. At that time I didn’t know nothing about collaborations, sponsored posts, working with brands or making money out of a blog. I had no idea about it. I just wanted to write articles about what I discovered, liked, wore, saw… I just wanted to share.
Now, three years later, I still can’t believe how things have changed to fast. I’ve had so many great experiences thanks to this blog, I met so amazing people because of it, I worked with so many great brands I could never imagine I would work with, I discovered so many great things, I went to places I fell in love with, and I learned too many great things that made me become the person that I’m today. And I’m so proud of it.
But, it hasn’t been as easy as it sounds. Definitely, the most asked question people always ask me is: how didn’t you give up? The truth is that at first, my blog had no visitors, no comments, no engagement… I was writing articles for nobody. But, what I was actually doing was: I’m building the base. Is completely normal at first to feel lonely, to feel that you’re wasting your time on something nobody wants to read or see. But, one day you magically get one visitor, then another, then a comment… If you never give up and work hard for that what you love I’m sure that you’re going to see the results.
So, today and every single day from the day that I started on this blog, I want to say thank you. Thank you for being supportive, visiting my blog, reading my blog posts, commenting your thoughts… I’m the happiest girl on earth every time I see a new comment, and you already know it because I always answer to every single one of them.
I don’t want to be just a picture or words on your screen. I want to be a real person, sharing what I love, do and wear with all of you. I love to interact with every single one of you, resolving any thoughts you may have, or just reading what you think about my posts. So please, never stop doing that.
Now I’m realizing how long this post is going to be… No worries, this is probably the most important post of the year. But, summarising, I’m so proud and thankful of all of you. Thanks for making my dream come true and being so supportive. Thank you, thank you thank you!
