BLOGGING 101: EMAIL

It is so important to have a unique email for your site/business. This makes you look more professional and if you do it the right way, this is going to be so helpful for you.

I remember how excited I was when I created the email for my blog. I just couldn’t wait for emails to come but, because I was just starting, that was always pretty empty. But, now that I’m working as a part-time blogger, I really appreciate that I managed to have an exclusive email for my site and that I have it pretty organized.

To keep it organized I’ve created folders for every different subject, as events, every fashion week, invoices and payments, etc. This is so important so you have everything in its place and it’s way easier to find when you’re looking for something.

Then, another thing that has helped me a lot is the “archive” option. The only emails that I leave on my inbox are those that I have to answer or remember to do something (so I easily see it and remember about it). But, the rest just get archived so I don’t stress with many emails on my inbox. And, when someone replies to the email you’ve archived, don’t worry because it shows up again in your inbox.

This has been everything about how to organize your email and inbox. But now let’s talk about how to write proper emails as a professional blogger/influencer.

Since you’re “selling yourself and your work” you have to be nice and close to the other person. Just be yourself. Personally, I don’t like to write emails as if I was a robot without feelings, but either if the other person was my friend. You must find a half-way point. Be nice, be you, be clear and concise.

And last but not least, something that not everybody knows about and I find so professional. Your personalized signature at the end of every email you send. This is going to automatically appear at the end of every email you send. In my case, I have my name, the name of my blog, the link, and the logo.

How to do it? From your Gmail account go to settings > settings > (scroll down) and you’ll find the signature option. Make it simple but make sure you say your name and who you are/work position, and link to your site. This is definitely a plus.

Do you have your inbox organized or it’s a mess? Do you want me to write about any other topic? Definitely tell me so in the comments down below and I’ll be glad to read!

Love and lipstick ❤
