SMART IN WHITE

Summer is almost officially here but, those of you who have been or heard about the weather in Barcelona must know that is pretty famous because of the sunny weather and, therefore, hot temperatures. 

The sun is shining so much and looks beautiful, but you can feel how it burns on your skin. Also, you can start to notice the humid weather which is what actually makes the weather pretty unbearable. But, because I’ve been living here all my life and I’m pretty familiar with sunny and hot weather, I’ve found some tips and tricks to make it a bit less annoying. 

Today I wanted to share with you something that might be pretty obvious, but makes a huge difference. You all know I love wearing black all year long because it looks smart and it’s really easy to mix and match with many clothes, but it’s definitely not the best colour to wear when it’s crazy sunny outside. Black attracts all the heat, and that means that your clothes will get so hot. So, as you can see, dark colours are the worst choice during the summer season. 

That’s why I always try to avoid black (except during the nighttime) and I get a bit more playful with colours. But, if there’s one colour that allows me to easily play with clothes, that makes me look smart, and that suits every single skin tone, is white. 

So, that’s the reason why I’m going crazy with white clothes at the moment. Every time I see a cute dress, shorts, blouse, or a top, I want it. This time I wanted to share with you something I recently got from MissyEmpire, that I’m in love with and I’ll know that I’ll be wearing it non stop this summer. It is a sleeveless blazer dress. I’m absolutely in love with how simple it is, and the beautiful clean shape of it. I really think that a piece like this one can be easily worn in many ways, from casual to fancy.

This time I decided to style it with black mules, a monogram bag, a black headband, and loads of gold accessories as usual. I love how simple but chic this looks, with so little effort. I think it’s a perfect summer outfit, but still looking quite neutral and smart.
