BLACK AND EMBROIDERY

Me a few weeks ago “don’t wear black if it’s hot and sunny outside”, also me “let’s wear a black look for fashion week”. I know, that makes no sense, but I did it. Even though I knew it was going to be really hot and sunny outside, I couldn’t help myself to wear a black outfit. Why? I really wanted to wear a pair of yellow embroidered sandals and I wanted them to be the main focus of attention, so that seemed like the best choice.

This was the first outfit I wore to fashion week this season. As mentioned above, I had a pair of really bold sandals I got a couple summers ago but I still love them so much, and I wanted them to be the main focus of attention, so I chose to wear all black clothes. But, plain black clothes do not need to be boring, it’s all about the shapes and fabrics you choose to wear. This time I decided to wear a new one-shoulder crop top I recently got from FemmeLuxe, which shape looks really basic and sophisticated at the same time and, for bottoms, black paper bag shorts. It’s two pieces that might sound basic and boring, but that are actually really flattering to the figure and also really comfy to wear (and I always really appreciate wearing comfortable clothes).

I’m always going to be a huge fan of monochrome looks with a cool twist, and I think this would be a great example for the summer season. You can always spice up your outfits with cool accessories such as jewellery, hair accessories, bags, and even shoes like I did. This way you can easily create many different outfits without having to think too much, but looks so effortlessly stylish.

And, despite how much I love how my outfit turned out, I have to be honest: yes, it was terribly hot. It was a really warm day and black clothes didn’t help at all, so maybe next time I choose to wear the same monochrome look with bold shoes but wearing white clothes rather than black ones. I think that would be much more sensible.

What do you think about my outfit? Do you wear a lot of black during the summer season? Definitely tell me so in the comments down below and I’ll be glad to read!
