THE BEST SUMMER ACCESSORY

If you ask me which the best summer accessory is, I’m not going to think twice. I would pick sunglasses in a heartbeat.

Sunglasses are not only helpful when it’s sunny outside to protect your eyes, but they can also add a lot of value to an outfit as other accessories such as jewellery, watches, headbands, hair clips, scarves, etc. Choosing the right sunglasses for each outfit is going to make a huge difference. You can choose to dress it up or dress it down depending on the style you’d like to go for.

Also, it’s really important to choose the right pair according to your face shape. I personally have a really small face/head, so I have to be careful with oversized sunglasses, because I love this style very much but sometimes they look a bit too much.

So, after choosing the right shape and making sure it’s flattering on you, it’s time to choose the material and colour of the frame, and also the tint of the lenses. Lately, I’m really into tortoise and brown tones since I’ve always worn black ones and I wanted a bit of a variety. Also, the colour of the glasses is so important as it’s a natural filter of what surrounds you, and I love seeing everything sepia-toned.

This time I found the most beautiful oversized sunnies (this model is called “Pearl Ingrid“)  from a brand called Triwa (yes, the same as the gold watch I’m obsessed with) with caramel toned frames and sepia coloured glasses. I can definitely see myself wearing these on repeat all summer, and even during autumn since these neutral tones will match perfectly with the upcoming season.
