MATCHING OUTFITS TO LOCATIONS

Something I love to do before going somewhere, especially during trips and vacations, it’s too look at the places in advance so I can choose the right clothes to wear. For me, it’s important to look cohesive with the surroundings, especially if I’m taking photos for the blog. From the style, to colours and shapes of the clothes, everything matters when choosing the right outfit for a specific location.

As you may know, this summer I went to beautiful Portugal, so I planned all my looks in advance depending on the different cities and villages I was going to visit. When I think about Portugal, what comes to my mind are buildings full of blue tiles, and because I didn’t want to be too much I decided to bring many cute white dresses. But, white clothes are not everything I brought on my trip. I also knew I was going to visit some old villages and cities full of old building made of beautiful ancient rocks, so I wanted to bring cohesive outfits for that too.

One day I went to visit Braga, which is a beautiful city (I loved it) full of old baroque buildings. Baroque is famous for all its details and gold accents, so that was the perfect dress code for me. I decided to wear a skirt I recently got from Subdued that has a pattern which is really similar to the beautiful tiles you can find all around Portugal, but in more darker tones and with amber details, which matched with my black basic t-shirt, black headband, and gold jewellery. Then, I chose to wear my chunky trainers because I was going to walk a lot to explore the whole city and all its beautiful streets full of cute coffee places.

I think this is the perfect example to show you how I match my outfits to the places I travel to. Obviously is not trying to perfectly camouflage with the surroundings, but to be cohesive and, if you take photos later, make it look aesthetic and pretty.

Do you also plan your outfits depending on the location? What do you think about my outfit? Definitely tell me so in the comments down below and I’ll be glad to read!
