Autumn is the most important fashion-related season, not because it’s my favourite, but because the fashion industry says it. It’s the time when all the biggest trends appear and there’s amazing inspiration everywhere, mainly because all the Fashion Weeks happening around the globe.
Today I wanted to bring you what I think it’s the biggest trend of this season, since it’s the one I’ve seen the most in street style, runways, magazines, social media, and high street brands. Of course, there are many other trends that are such a thing right now, but nothing compared to what I’m going to talk about today, which is faux leather.
I’ve seen faux leather pieces everywhere, from tops, corsets, leggings, trousers, shoes, accessories and everything else you could think of. Not only like a statement piece, but also like head to toe. It might sound a bit too much but if you style it well it actually looks quite cool and stylish.
But, I wanted to keep it a bit less crazy and just incorporate a main faux leather item to my outfit. This time I decided to style my new favourite pair of faux leather shorts I recently got from LilyLulu and that I know I’m going to be wearing on repeat this season, with a basic white shirt, white trainers and, another really trendy piece this season, a faux croc baguette bag. Then, as usual, many gold details to accessorise the outfit.
It is such a simple black and white outfit using really basic pieces such as a shirt, trainers, shorts, etc., but playing with textures, which is something that I love doing since it makes simple outfits look much more interesting and different. In this case, what makes the difference are the two key trends of the season, which are faux leather and croc pieces.
Are you into faux leather clothing items? Which is your favourite trend of the season? Definitely let me know in the comments down below and I’ll be glad to read!
Love and lipstick ❤
