If you haven’t noticed yet, I love gold. I always need to add some gold details to my outfits and there’s no way you see me not wearing gold jewellery. Over the years, and also thanks to the amazing companies I get to work with, I’ve built a nice jewellery collection that I’m obsessed with.
It’s quite common to ask someone “Are you a gold or silver person?“. With no doubt, I’ll say gold, but I did find myself thinking something silver looked nice. And that’s what takes me to the biggest fashion-related dilemma I have to deal with: Is it okay to mix metals?
I’ve always thought that you could only choose one and stick to it, but never mix both because it looks terribly bad. But, surprisingly, I’ve ended up doing it. I really think it’s not about what you do but how you do it. Everything started wearing gold rings on my left hand, and silver ones on my right one, because I was too afraid to mix them all. But then it started evolving to mixing gold and silver hardware like belts, shoes, bags, etc.
This time I wanted to share with you the easiest way to do it, since I got a new bag that is the perfect example. How? The bag is gold and silver snakeskin print, which makes it much easier since it’s an item that has both in one. Then you only have to add some little metal details as you like and nothing too bold, so the metal bits are the main focus of your outfit. This time I went for a super basic autumnal outfit which was a white shirt, black skirt, trench coat, and ankle boots. Then, as mentioned before, gold details such as jewellery and belt, and some silver bits as the bag’s and boots’ hardware, and then a couple rings.
