DISCOVERING BARCELONA: BRUNCH AT CREMAT11

After a week of cold and heavy rain the sun came out, so I really had to plan something to do outdoors and enjoy the sunny weekend we had. There’s nothing better than a nice walk around the city, and then eating out. This last Friday I had the pleasure to have brunch at the lovely Cremat11, a small but trendy and cosy place in the heart of Barcelona.

The place: 

It’s a cute little place in a narrow street, but right next to the centre, so it’s really easy to get there but it’s not a super crowded area. They don’t get reservations since it’s quite small, but you just have to make sure you go a bit early to make sure you get a table. The decoration is so trendy with really nice velvet chairs, nice walls and plants around the place.

The food: 

They offer two different types of menus, depending on if you go for brunch or for dinner (where you’ll find a nice selection of tapas). I went during brunch time, so I chose from the brunch menu they offer.

What really caught my eye is that they do have the indispensable avocado toast and many things with benedict eggs, but they do offer a really nice variety of dishes, which are different from all the other brunch places I ‘ve been to, and I think that it’s something that makes this place unique and better.

I finally chose a “vegan breakfast”, and my partner got “sausage n’ chips”. Both dishes were delicious, and I was impressed with how fresh and well-cooked everything was. I could really tell they just cooked everything with their heart. We had a dish each and I can assure you that was enough food, since the portions are perfect.

Then, as for drinks, we got a really good iced latte and the best homemade lemonade with ginger I ‘ve ever had. Both really delicious and refreshing.

Prices: 

I would rate the prices as average brunch place. The dishes were 12,5€ and 13,5€ each, and then drinks were around 3€ or 4€, which I think it’s what you usually pay for a good brunch, and I can tell you it’s definitely worth it since we were really happy with the meal we had.

Really tasty food in a small local in the heart of the city, that’s Cremat11. I would definitely go again soon, because we had such a delicious meal, and now I’m really curious to try their tapas for dinner.
