Last week I posted a couple photos here on the blog and Instagram, and many of you seemed to loved the chunky knit jumper I was wearing, so I thought it was the right time to share the full outfit here on the blog.
Since the weather here in Barcelona is usually not very cold during winter, I have no need to own such a chunky jumper, but one day I say this beauty and I couldn’t think about anything else than me being all cosy and warm in it. And that’s the reason why I got it. I actually haven’t worn it that much, because of the reason mentioned above, but every time I have the chance I definitely do wear it and I’m the happiest girl on earth.
Chunky knits are so comfy and keep you warm, but I admit that maybe they can be quite hard to style, since they look huge and not that fashionable. Well, that’s why today I wanted to share this look, so you could see which is my favourite way to style them.
For me, the key is to make the jumper the statement piece of your outfit. Then, I always choose skinny bottoms in neutral colours, since we don’t really need more oversized pieces or bold colours that would definitely look too much. And, of course, do never forget to accessorise your outfits.
This time I decided to wear my beloved chunky jumper I got a year ago from MissyEmpire, and I styled it with fake leather leggings and black boots, which actually look like the same piece because they’re the same fabric. Then, to accessorise, I decided to wear a croc bag (matching the black leather bottoms), a neutral coloured hat (to keep some balance on my head because it looked so small compared to the huge jumper), and gold jewellery as always.
Such a simple, comfy and warm look, where the big jumper is the main focus of attention. Indeed, the best outfit to wear during the coldest days if you get the chance to.
Do you like oversized jumpers? How would you style them? Definitely tell me so in the comments down below and I’ll be glad to read!
