Q&A: GET TO KNOW ME VOL.1

I really feel like I’m quite honest and personal here on the blog, but I also do feel like you know too little about me. I obviously don’t really like to share too much personal information on the net, but I think it’s a good idea to share a bit more about myself here on the blog, as I do on my Instagram.

That’s why I’m starting a Q&A series that I’ll post once in a while. It’ll be a compilation of the most asked questions I get on Instagram, but you can also leave some questions in the comments down below so I can add them to the next round.

What’s your favourite country? 

There are many countries I like for several reasons, but France really does have my heart. No doubt. I’ve been lucky enough to travel there very often and I just can’t get enough of it. The architecture, cities, culture, language, pastries, art… Everything drives me crazy.

Advice for taking good pictures? 

I actually wrote about it a while ago, so here you have the direct link to it. I would say that the key to taking good pictures is patience and creativity. Think about all the details and try many things until you get the perfect shot. The, I love pictures with beautiful sunlight. That’s the best advice I can give you because it makes a huge difference.

How do you edit your photos? 

Again, I did write about it here on the blog, so click here to have a read. I used to over-edit them and that’s my biggest regret. I always play with contrast, white balance, tints, exposure, etc. I have my own preset but then I make some slight changes depending on what the photo needs.

What’s your favourite place in Barcelona?

I prefer to keep my favourite places secret because I like how quiet and calm they can be sometimes. But, I have to say that I love the born and gothic area for just walking around, taking photos, coffee dates and cocktails. Be careful when you go though, since it can be a bit dangerous during the night time (because of thieves especially).

Who or what inspires you? Where do you find inspiration? 

I think that this was a very interesting question. I don’t know if you’re talking about fashion, writing or photography, but I think I get inspiration from many sources. Pinterest is a huge one for photography and style, but I also get a lot of inspiration (especially for writing) from places, music, conversations, people, etc. I think that the key to keep yourself inspired is to be curious about what surrounds you.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 

Honestly? I have no idea. I would have finished my degree in Advertising & PR, but I don’t know if I’ll work in an agency. The only thing I know is that I’ll be working on something creative-related, and probably (even though I love Barcelona) somewhere else in Europe. Who knows, only time will tell.

So these are all the questions I’m answering for now. I feel like they’re quite interesting and useful in some way (some more than others), or at least a bit less typical.
